Diocese of Bridgeport

The Committee for the Year of Consecrated Life in the Diocese of Bridgeport has invited students in their Catholic Schools and Schools of Religion programs to express ... through artwork, poetry, drama or song, their appreciation for the religious women and men of the Church.  Diocesan winners in each age group are to receive gift card prizes.

Students in Grades K-4 are invited to submit a poster promoting vocations to the Consecrated Life.  Individual students in Grades 5-8 are invited to submit a poem, song or rap on the contributions to the world of a saint who lived the Consecrated life-style.  These entries are to incorporate the "Wake Up the World" theme of the Year of Consecrated Life.

Groups of 2-5 high school students are invited to write a promotional commercial with action and speakers indicated on one of these two topics:

How the modern world needs persons in life-long ministry to promote Christ's message
How a religious vocation is a gift to family, parish, diocese and society.

We'll look forward to seeing the winners publicized on the Diocesan website when the winners are announced in mid-April.
