The Midwest Augustinians recently affiliated eight new members to the religious order during their Province's Diamond Jubilee Opening Mass on April 25, 2015. This jubilee will be a year-long celebration marking 75 years as the order's Province of Our Mother of Good Counsel. Celebrant for the Mass was the Most. Rev. The Augustinian Community is rejoicing at the episcopal ordination of one of their own, Bishop Robert Prevost, for the Diocese of Chiclayo, Peru, on Saturday, December 13. Celebrating with Bishop Prevost were two other Augustinian bishops of the Diocese of Chulucanas (also in Peru ) -- Bishop Dan Turley (the current bishop) and Bishop John McNabb (bishop emeritus) who is reported to be one of the two surviving American attendees to Vatican II.
Congratulations to Bishop Prevost !!
