Archdiocese of indianapolis

Archbishop Joseph W. Tobin of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis reflected on "the richness of religious life" and the gift of vocations at the start of the Year of Consecrated Life. Archbishop Tobin entered the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists) in 1966 and professed his perpetual vows in the order in 1976 before his ordination to the priesthood in 1978. From 1997-2009, he served as the superior general of the Redemptorists during which time he visited more than 70 countries around the world where members of his order minister. His wide experiences give the Archbishop Tobin a perspective for reflecting on the importance of the life and ministry of men and women in religious life.
